David (60) and Phyllis (57) Craft of North Liberty, formerly of Dewitt and Davenport, Iowa; died in the comfort of each other's company Sunday, July 8, 2012, at their home.

David and Phyllis resided in Dewitt earlier in their life where he served the community as a police officer with the City of Dewitt for many years, until an injury forced his early retirement. Phyllis was an at-home mom and took care of raising their daughter, Stacy, and providing the daily necessities for their family. David and Phyllis were married nearly 40 years and were a couple that knew true love. Over the past years, Phyllis has been at David's side through all of his illnesses, for the good and the not-so-good times.

Their family includes their daughter Stacy Craft and her husband, Dan Buckley of Coralville, as well as David's brother, Dan Craft of Oklahoma.

They were preceded in death by their parents and their son, David Shane Craft in 1984.
