Deborah Kay (Hellstrom) Mildt, 71, of Bettendorf, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Jersey Ridge Place. Per her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Weerts Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Deb was born on March 16, 1954, in Davenport, IA. Her parents were John and Janet (McCosh) Hellstrom. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to Thomas Mildt on November 20, 1982, in Bettendorf. Deb retired from the City of Bettendorf in 2018.
Deb was a master gardener; she enjoyed flower arranging and spending time out in the garden. Her house was her domain, always creating and decorating for every change of the season and holiday. She loved long bike rides and had a love for music. She was an avid animal lover, caring for her animals inside and out. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping and boating.
Deb is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Sarah (Josh) Rediger of Altoona, IA; sisters, Pam (Mike) Perry and Martha (Steve) Bakeris, both of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Wrenley and Ryker; mother-in-law, Ruth Mildt; sister-in-law, Sue (Bill) Asay; and several nieces and nephews.
